Jourdan Serderidis did not complete his attempt at the EKO Rally Acropolis, abandoning due to a problem with the hybrid system of the Ford Puma Rally1 in the middle of Saturday’s leg. The driver from Kavala, although he showed that he was overcoming the few car problems he faced on Friday, was unlucky and was prematurely excluded from the continuation of our national race.
Iordanis Serderidis started first, thus clearing the way for the others in the first specials of the day: “Unfortunately, on the simple route for the afternoon repeat of the specials, we had a problem with the hybrid system of the Ford Puma Rally1, leaving this year’s EKO Rally Acropolis prematurely “, were the words of the driver who continued: “We enjoyed the morning loop of stages. Pyrgos was quite slippery and particularly difficult in some parts. Then, on the Perivoli stage, we picked up the pace and had fun, while also on Tarzan, a special known from last year, we moved swiftly”
This was the first abandonment of the Greek driver in his five participations in the EKO Rally Acropolis: “Luck was not on our side in this year’s race. Traditionally we finish, however this year we didn’t make it, due to a mechanical problem with the car. Nevertheless, it was my great pleasure to participate for another year in the best race of the World Rally Championship! “, declared Jourdan Serderidis, closing: “We don’t shy away. We are looking forward to Rally Catalunya, the penultimate round of the event and hope that luck will be on our side “
