The EKO Rally Acropolis returned to the World Rally Championship, with the first six special stages of the race that make up its first leg, to be completed and the Greek Jourdan Serderidis to continue without problems. With Fred Miclotte, a co-driver in the state-of-the-art Ford Fiesta WRC, the duo moved smartly and left the special stages of Friday unscathed.
The menu of the day included two passes from the special of Agios Theodoros and one of the routes of Loutraki, Thebes and Elatia. On Thursday, the special route in the center of Athens gave a special color to the event: “The atmosphere was fantastic in Syntagma! I really enjoyed it and in the end it was easier than I expected“, were the first words of Jourdan Serderidis, who stated regarding the events of Friday:” The real race, of course, started on Friday! Saturday’s program consists of six special stages, with the Kavaliotis driver expressing optimism, while he did not fail to thank the thousands of friends of the sport who were on the special stages: «We will continue our effort at the EKO Rally Acropolis, hoping to have a trouble-free race. We have a nice battle with Vassilis and Giannis Velanis for the second place among the Greeks and we will try to stay ahead of them. In closing, it is worth to mention the pulse of the fans.
