The winner of the first rally of the championship was Manos Gerardis with Toyota GR Yaris Rally 2. He won only one special stage but avoided mistakes and stayed at the top from the 4th special stage until the end. Thomas Gkatzouris finished in second place. He won two special stages but two serious mistakes in the 1st and 4th special stages deprived him of the absolute points. On the last step of the podium was George Mallis. The veteran driver with his experience got a very positive result in a race that, as he said, did not suit him at all.
In C4, the victory was taken by Nikos Tsaknias with Kostas Tsioumas and George Bratsos completing the winners’ podium. In C2 and C3, the winners were Dimitris Theodorou and Valantis Karalis respectively.
Finally, in the category, the historic winner was Thodoris Kapourniotis.
It is also worth mentioning Giorgos Kammenos who won three of the six special stages of the race but retired on the last special stage. We had a great performance from the unlucky Voudouris in his first contact with RBR. With times in the top three, he was leading the race until the 3rd special stage. Unfortunately, an unlucky moment deprived him of any hope for distinction.
Next is the Centaur Rally 10-14 April
