Rally RACC Catalunya- Jourdan Serderidis: Tarmac time!

Jourdan Serderidis will compete in another World Rally Championship race this year. The Greek driver who represents our country in the WRC after participating in the Sardinia Rally, Kenya and our national race, this time will drive the high-tech Ford Puma Rally1 on the tarmac of Spain. Rally RACC Catalunya takes place with a focus on the city of Salou from 20 to 23 October.

This is the third time that Jourdan Serderidis will participate in the race, after his presence there in 2014 and also in 2017, the year he won the WRC Trophy: “We have competed in Spain, two more times. Some stages are familiar to us from 2017. The stages are slippery in some places and we have to be careful. With my experienced co-driver, Fred Miclotte wemade good recce and I believe we will move quicly on the race”, were the words of the driver, who added: ” A few weeks a go, we had the opportunity to test the Ford Puma Rally1 in tarmac, in order to findthe correct setup for the race. Everything went smoothly and I believe we are ready to cope with the challenges of Rally Catalunya

Regarding the goal of the Greek driver in Spain, the driver originally from Kavala said: “We got a first experience driving it Ford Puma Rally1 on tarmac races in Belgium earlier this year, which will help us quickly familiarize ourselves with the race. Our aim is to leave behind the misfortune of the Acropolis Rally and raise the Greek flag at the finish at noon on Sunday. Although it is not one of my favorite races, we will try to be fast from the first run on Friday morning and finish high in the race standings. ” were the words of Jourdan Serderidis.

The Catalunya Rally starts on Friday 20 October and ends on Sunday 23 October. The crews will be invited to compete in 19 special stages, with a total length of 294 racing kilometers.
