Serderidis in the battle for the podium of the WRC2 Masters category!

It was encouraging the start of Jourdan Serderidis-Fred Miclotte in the Rally of Sardinia. The crew with the Greek flag in the sky of the Skoda Fabia Rally2 Evo marked decent times among the crews of the WRC2 Masters category, which is aimed at drivers over 55 years old and will claim a place on the podium.

With rivals, among others, the former factory driver of Mitsubishi, Hyundai and Toyota, Freddy Loix, the European champion Armin Kremer and the leader of the ranking in the category, Italian Mauro Miele o Serderidis marked competitive times: “The aim of our participation in the Rally of Sardinia was to get acquainted with the harsh special and high temperatures, for the upcoming Rally Safari and Acropolis in which we will participate with Ford Puma Rally1. The truth is that we did not study our competitors much and did not set specific goals in the category in which 12 crews started. Nevertheless, we moved fast in the special stages and found ourselves claiming a place on the podium. We will fight it until the end”, said Serderidis.

Serderidis-Miclotte are in fourth place in the category, a few seconds behind the Frenchman Raoux and will claim something more since their time in the special stages was decent: “In all the special stages of the demanding Sardinian Rally that we did not face a problem, we scored times top 3 times, in the WRC2 Masters, with our best performance in the second special stage of the race, which we were second only to Loix, a not insignificant performance considering that we are competing for the first time in the fight. Unfortunately, on the third stage, we had a puncture that forced us to retreat a lot” said the driver from Kavala and added:“Saturday’s leg is also demanding and our goal will initially be to finish without problems and to increase the pace from special to special”
