A dream came true for Jourdan Serderidis. After winning the WRC Trophy World Championship in 2017 another goal in the magical world of rallying was achieved. Finishing in the hardest race of the WRC, Rally Safari, and in fact in seventh place overall ahead of the multi-champion of the sport Sebastien Loeb!
“The three days we spent on the special stages in Kenya were magical! My feelings cannot be described! To finish in such a race as the Safari Rally was a dream for me and it came true in the best possible way finishing the race in seventh place overall!” were the first words of the driver who was sailing in a sea of happiness after the finish.
“The Safari Rally was included in our racing schedule from the start, along with our national race, the Acropolis Rally since it has been a unique challenge for me since it returned to the World Rally Championship. The challenge became even greater when I learned that the race would feature multi-champions Sebastien Ogier and Sebastien Loeb, and indeed the latter would be in the same team, under the M-Sport tent. Loeb is my personal idol in the world of motor racing and I have always admired him for his method and efficiency. To finish ahead of him in a race like Rally Safari was incredible for me!” stated the Greek driver who did not fail to thank all the contributors to this huge result for our countryman: “M-Sport gave us an amazing car that lasted three days in the toughest race I’ve been in in my career. Barring a few minor issues that didn’t really affect our performance, the Ford Puma Rally1 we drove in the colors of our sponsors Fleetback and ALD Automotive proved to be a reliability monster. A special share of responsibility for our great success goes to my co-driver Fred Miclotte, thanks to whose experience I kept a steady pace throughout the three days, which rewarded us with this amazing result! It is characteristic that apart from the team that won the race, only our car completed all the kilometers of the race without any problems in the major category. The race was also physically strenuous, especially for a man of a certain age, and Fred was again there to advise me on the best allocation of my forces. ” added the Kavala Born Champion who renewed his appointment with all the friends of the sport at our Acropolis Rally in September.
“Our next goal is the Acropolis Rally, which I love very much! I love Greek nature, the Greek friends of the sport, I love my country. I will try in birthplace to give my best, to offer a spectacle to Rally friends and to finish high in the general classification. Next appoiment in Lamia, Loutraki and of course in OAKA!”, was Serderidis words.. Follow Jourdan Serderidis through his personal page infacebook: https :// www . facebook . com / Serderidisrallyfans
