WRC Rally Estonia 2021 – 1st Leg

Kalle Rovanperä is in first place after the mistakes and dropouts of his opponents. Having a lot of experience in these surfaces is definitely the main challenger for the win. Early morning problems for last year’s winner Ott Tänak who had a puncture in the third special stage and exit in the next one with a double puncture as a result to be out for the rest of the day.

Big unluck for Takamoto Katsuta, who was forced to retired from the race after co-driver Dan Barritt suffered a back injury after a heavy landing over jump while he was in third place. Sébastien Ogier clearing the road starting first, but he was pushing and without mistakes he is in fourth place. Ogier’s teammate Elfyn Evans he did two mistakes in the third special stage and he is in fifth place. Thierry Neuville is in third place, pushing and climbing positions after the puncture.

In second place the amazing Craig Breen who continues the good appearances on fast gravel surfaces and with last participation with the i20 WRC on gravel at Estonia 2020! Big problems also for Greensmith and Suninen with M-Sport facing reliability issues leaving the Greensmith out of the race.
